12th A. D.
Operations Map

Created just after the cease of operations, this is the US Army's official public map of the 12th AD's battle paths through France and Germany.

It shows the routes taken along with the major cities and battles, and shows where they led the crossings of the Rhine and Danube Rivers.

John's Company C did not quite make it into Austria. After battling through Munich's street fights, they had made their way into the Bavarian Alps at the time of the cease fire and their return to La Havre, France.

This site was originally published for John's 75th birthday in September, 2000.
It was revised and updated in 2011 and again in this responsive form in 2020.
